Montgomery County Police helped locate and arrest a 42-year-old Rockville man on Friday, Aug. 14, after a Virginia woman reported a man peeping through her bedroom window on two consecutive nights.
Landon Anthony Taylor faces two counts of peeping and one count of stalking in connection with incidents at a home on the 5900 block of Coverdale Way in Franconia, Virginia, according to a Fairfax County Police press release.
Fairfax County officers responded to the home at 10:25 p.m. on Aug. 7 after the victim reported a man peeping through her window. She told police the same thing had happened the night before, on Aug. 6. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
After reviewing video footage and other evidence, detectives identified Taylor as the suspect. Arrest warrants were obtained on Aug. 7.
On Friday, Aug. 14, Fairfax County Police's Warrant Squad, Metro Transit Police and Montgomery County Police located and arrested Taylor in Rockville. He was transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where he is being held.
Taylor has a criminal history in the D.C. region, according to Montgomery Community Media, which cited Maryland court records. In 2010, he was charged with peeping and burglary. In 2008, he was charged with second-degree child abuse, fourth-degree sexual assault and second-degree assault. The disposition of those prior cases was not available.
