Potomac-area families can catch free live music on Friday mornings starting Sept. 25 at the Cabin John Regional Park Amphitheater.

Montgomery Parks is launching Little Jams, a four-week concert series running from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each Friday through Oct. 16. Admission is free.

"Little Jams is all about giving kids and adults a fun, welcoming place to dance, laugh, and enjoy great music together," Michael Coppersmith, director of Montgomery Parks Activation, said in a Sept. 16 announcement.

The lineup spans four genres across four weeks:

• Sept. 25: La Unica, a Washington, D.C.-based band that blends Latin American and Celtic sounds into what they call "Irish Latin Rock." The group has performed for more than 15 years and sings in both English and Spanish.
• Oct. 2: Zachary Smith and the Mardi Gras Kings, a zydeco, Cajun, New Orleans jazz and funk act. Smith has performed on the East Coast for more than 30 years, including a 2025 set at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage.
• Oct. 9: Ted Garber, a blues Americana performer who has played D.C.'s 9:30 Club, Blues Alley and Strathmore.
• Oct. 16: The Jennifer Schimpf Trio, an Annapolis-based indie blues group featuring upright bass and drums.

Families should pack their own snacks and drinks.

No food or beverage vendors will be on site. The amphitheater sits inside Cabin John Regional Park at 7400 Tuckerman Lane, Bethesda. The park connects to MacArthur Boulevard and the C&O Canal via the Cabin John Stream Valley Trail.
