Potomac-area small business owners can get free guidance on building and managing credit at a drop-in seminar Wednesday, Aug. 5, at The Grove in Cabin John Village.

Lafayette Federal Credit Union is hosting the lunchtime session, "Building, Managing, and Leveraging Credit for Business Owners," from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tuckerman Lane restaurant. The seminar will cover establishing strong business credit, using credit effectively, and avoiding common pitfalls that can limit growth, according to the event listing on Potomac Patch.

Julieanna Mazurkiewicz of LFCU Business Banking will lead the session.

The seminar comes as Lafayette Federal expands its commercial services in the Potomac area. The Rockville-headquartered credit union, which manages more than $2 billion in assets and serves over 56,000 members, opened a new branch in Great Falls, Va., earlier this year and in April announced a revamped business banking program with two senior hires.
